Evening in the park. Sun shining through the picnic tree.
The east hedge.
Trees by the stables. Can you see the ride-on mower in the shade near the lower right?
Trees along the river bank near the stables.
We probably spend too much time relaxing in the park.
Dramatic skies.
Another day; late afternoon.
Lengthening shadows.
The artist in his handiwork.
A cherry-plum tree with lights to discourage the deer from eating it!
Late afternoon sun in the trees near the bend in the river.
View of the bend in the river from the picnic spot at the top of the bank.
This tree has leaned so far that it touches the ground.
The view south along the valley while walking to the weir.
The view southwest from the same point.
The weir. Not so much water as usual; they must be keeping it to refill the reservoir.
Looking west from the weir. Looks like an autumn crop shooting in the fields.
Evening sun on the plane trees by the road.
Sunset skies over the park.
Beautiful sunset skies.
Sunset sky and long shadows.
Dramatic skies.
The earth from space. Just kidding; it's the previous picture upside down!
Trees in the last rays of the setting sun.
Night time view of the balcony above the cascade.
Another day, another evening. Light shining through the trees.
Evening light on the trees.
The way to the barrage.
"La vie en or". The evening light, as seen from the bottom of the garden.
Relaxing in front of the fire while chatting to Sylvia on the phone.
View from the balcony above the cascade. Morning sun in the trees and autumn colours.
Morning sun and autumn colours.
Morning sun in the trees seen from the balcony.
A tree which threatens the building must be felled. No, not that one but in the distance by the casc...
Viewed from the balcony; it is the tree right of centre, with the blue rope.
This is how it looked back in March when Keith first secured it with ropes.
The trees at left were used as an anchor.
After cutting almost through the trunk the tree still hasn't fallen!
A few judicious strokes with the hand saw finished it off.
There it is, lying across the water. Now what shall we do with it?
Keith has pulled the tree up onto the bank and is cutting it up.
Lumberjack at work.
